I learned that copyright is a United States federal law that protects original “works of authorship” which include literary, written, dramatic, artistic, musical and certain other types of works.
I didn't realize that as soon as you do as much as draw a picture, it automatically becomes copyrighted and you gain the rights to having created the picture. No one can steal your work and claim it as theirs, however in an instance where the picture may be used for educational purposes, it is acceptable for someone else to use the picture you created.
This article is alright. It's teaching you how to copyright your stuff even though it is already copyrighted as soon as you draw it or type it. You can get Famous off of a drawing or even a essay.
