It was pretty easy to find feeds and subscribe to them because all you had to do was copy and paste the url and click subscribe. Some of my favorite sites were www.cutegirlshairstyles.com and www.abcnews.com. I can also use rss to show my friends the latest news/updates about some of our favorite websites!

-Why did you select the sites you subscribed to?

The sites that I subscribed to interested me in one way or another. Mostly the personal interests and news RSS feeds interest me, not as much the government owned sites.

-Was it easy to find feeds and to subscribe to them?

Yes, finding RSS feeds on websites is actually quite easy. If you do not want to go to different websites to find them, you can easily type keywords into google reader to find multiple results that may interest you. From there, all you have to do is click the 'subscribe' button.

-Which sites were your favorites?

The sites that were my favorites were the ones that were related to sports. These include NFL, NHL, as well as constant soccer updates and other statistics on players and teams.

-What else can you use RSS for?

You can use RSS feeds for many things such as following your favorite sports teams to get updates all the time. You may also use RSS feeds to skim through information without having to go from website to website finding information. With RSS feeds, everything is compiled and 'given to you' instead of 'you finding it'.

Yes sports were a little harder than others but not too bad.

My favorite was the hobby I did a METS rss feed and i follow them a lot so.

It can be used for people that think its easier for rss feeds than going on the website.

RSS Feeds Project Discussion Questions

Why did you select the sites you subscribed to?
-I selected the sites I subscribed to either because they were listed first on Google when I searched for one of the keywords (news or government) or because I actually liked the information on the feed (not a very common reason).

Was it easy to find feeds and to subscribe to them?
-Finding feeds and subscribing to them did not require much mental effort, just a considerable amount of free time (having to find 15 different sites that fit into the given specific guidelines).

Which sites were your favorites?
-Generally, the sites I have listed in the personal section were my favorites because I like to read the stuff they have to say (especially the Office quote of the day feed, made mush more enjoyable to me because I've watched every episode of the show).

What else can you use RSS for?
-Other than to your feeds on Google Reader, you can also use RSS to display information from you favorite sites on your blog or, if you don't have a blog, share that information with your friends via email in a bundle.

All you had to do was go on a page and look at the top or bottom for the RSS feed sign. My favorite sites were CNET and Allrecipes. CNET gives good technology news, and Allrecipes gives me recipes to try out for my own. You could also use RSS to subscribe to get assignments if there was a class blog for school.

I selected the sites I did because some I just needed and others, I really liked. It was easy to subscribe to the feed once I found them. However, I didn't really narrow my searches that well so it took me a while. My favorite sites would have to be a youtube blog and The Script's blog. I selected the sites that I subscribed to because they are either all relevant to my life or it is something I enjoy or am interested by. It was very easy to find feeds and subscribe to them. For almost all of my websites, there was an rss feed sign where you click on and then copy the url. My favorite sites were nba.com, because I like sports, and the bergen county nj.com site, because it told me the news in my area. You can use rss feeds for a report. For example, if you are doing a report on the alamo and you subscribe to a website, you can get information that was newly updated on the site.
