TV P&C: Do Now Feb 25

Please post a comment (remember you must be logged into your Google Account) with a SPECIFIC video project idea/suggestion/etc that you would like to complete. Be creative with your post, don't just post something general.

AWD: Project 2 Test

Create a 1 page webpage about what you did over this past weekend or you enjoy doing in the winter.

Make sure:
  1. Include a <title> in the HTML tags
  2. Use the H1 tag for the top of the <body> of the page
  3. Use an ordered or un-orderd list to itemize what you did
  4. Add at least 2 images that represent your weekend
  5. Change the background color
- Create a new folder in your initials folder titled: Project 2 Test.

- Save the HTM file as: p2test.htm in that folder

TV P&C: Don't Stand By for Bullying

As discussed, your objective is to create a 50-60 second video which demonstrates how:
STUDENTS WON’T STAND BY AND LET BULLYING HAPPEN. The video must show practical ideas and actions about how to stamp out bullying.


Please read all of the material below.


The due dates are as follows:
-Full Script: February 21, 2014 (Double Homework Assessment) must be shared on google drive.
-Filming: Immediately after approval (Double Informal Assessment)
-Final Video (fully edited): February 28, 2014 (Formal Assessment)
-Upload (MSG and YouTube): March 3 (Project Assessment)


Additional Guidelines:
-Only use Position Music
-No other copyrighted material
-A max of 4 per group. however, other individuals may appear in the film as extras
-Each group member must sign the consent form (last sheet)



Web 2.0: Blog Searching and Connecting


1) Perform a Google and/or Technorati Blog Search and research at least 3 blogs that interest you. Add those blogs to your Google dashboard as a blog that you follow.

2) After you have done that, read a recent article from 1 of the blogs and post a constructive comment on it. The comment will be your opinion on that particular post, not 1 word, not a sentence, at least a paragraph.

3) You will then comment on this post with the following:
  • Your Name and Period
  • URL of the the article that includes your comment so I can review.
Note: Some blogs will make you register as a user to prevent spam. Don't give out too much personal information. If you're not sure, choose another blog to post on.

Tech Lit/Web 2.0: Collaborating with your classmates

Now it's time to start collaborating with your classmates.

1) Go to your Dashboard (blogger.com) and enter the URL's (found in the comments section on prior blog posts, i.e.: Web 2.0: Period 7 Only) of each blog to the 'Blogs You Are Following' section on blogger.

2) Post at least 2 comments to different classmates' posts. Choose a classmate that is across the room and not sitting on your right or left. The comment will be related to one of their posts and something you learned about them or any contribution that is positive.

  • One of the comments you post should contain a link to another student's blog or outside link. An example would be: "Check out Jose's blog, his pictures are amazing!"
    • HTML Coding: <a href="url">Link text</a>
3) If someone posts a comment on your blog and has a question, please respond...keep it positive.

Tech Lit: Periods 6 & 8 - Multimedia

Your assignment is to add multimedia to a NEW blog post.

You will type at least 3 paragraphs on the topic:
WHAT OLYMPIC SPORT YOU WOULD LOVE TO COMPETE IN AND WHY

1) Include specific information about the sport, how you would train, and anything else you want to add!

2) Add external text hyperlinks to the Olympics website, sport, etc that you want to compete in
 i.e.Check out Mr. Porfido's Website!

3) Insert images wrapped around the text relating to what you discuss

4) Embed a video related to the sport

Due Tuesday.
