I feel that it's pretty devious of AT&T to make the early termination fee very high. This ensured customers will stay on AT&T for the mean time. Though it won't keep people as loyal as they might think. People have other preferences and for AT&T to take advantage isn't right. The iphone was in high demand and only available on AT&T, so it was natural for people to go on AT&T. I understand that it's a business tactic, but it's still wrong.

I'd go on Verizon, personally, because of the fact that it has good service (granted the fact that they steal, but that's under control now). AT&T isn't the greatest company out there and now they're doing anything possible to keep their customers tied on a leash. I'd be distraught if I was an AT&T customer wanting to switch to Verizon. Overall, it's all about the money and competition.

I think that this article was very informative. Most of the myths Daniel Terdiman discussed in his article are myths that I've heard about before, and always wondered if they were true or not. After reading this article, I now know different techniques and things to do to help my computer and keep it safe.
This article is definitely going to help some people improve the way they treat their computers. There was also some information about camera's that will probably help photographers in selecting new cameras. All in all, this article was very informative and kept my attention the entire time.

I believe that Privacy should be up to the individual themselves. If a person wants to make they're lives public then that is just they're choice. However, it should be illegal for any person or website to log your browsing history. What one is searching on the web is their private matter, a company or website should not be able to take these searches (without our permission) and profit off them. Invasion of privacy is against the law, I don't see why it differs for the internet. This is my opinion.

I think Verizon's Iphone would be much cooler with new features. I think its a great Idea that if you wanted to get a new phone, but concerned that you didn't full-fill your 2 year contract. Verizon offers a deal! If you pay $599, you can purchase a new phone in the middle of your contract. I feel that is awesome, especially for people like me who gets bored of there phone every 2 months or so.

The article mentions that over the past six months, AT&T had millions of their "Iphone Costumers" put themselves in the 2 year contract, just because of the upgrades they were offered my AT&t's staff. In the first three months that the Iphone was on shelves for sale, the company of AT&T locked in 5.2 million customers. <- thats amazing.

The internet and the end of "privacy"

There is no privacy on the internet. If you have an account on a social networking site, there is a 99.9% chance that your name will pop up I google it. The internet is a great invention but it does has its downfalls. Since the internet is World wide its very easy to find someone wether they live in England or a little town in Texas. The internet can be a great place to learn new things around the world but it can also be very dangerous if one is not careful.

I think there should be a new law on social networking sites that should not release personal information about ones self. The internet can easily find a person who does not want to be found. With all this new technology, soon it will be possible to locate someone wherever they are.

The article No Privacy is a very informal article. Life and technology are becoming more and more alike. In my opinion Websites like facebook and Myspace are ok, But twitter and Blippy are Stupid and shouldn't even exist. Also Websites Shouldn't be about what you do every moment of your life and what you do in private life. The article also shows how dangerous Sharing and I would like all social websites to have a survey to set the a customazilbe settings and sharing option.

Busting (or not) 10 Top Myths About Technology
I think that this article was very helpful. I've always heard about rebooting the computer for fifteen seconds but I never knew it was true. It's good to know that rebooting it for 15 seconds will be safer for your computer, rather than 5 seconds. Also the other myths in this article were very helpful as well.
Another myth that I found interesting in the article was about Macs not being able to get viruses. I always hear about that and I never knew if it was true or not. This is why I found this article very interesting.

i feel that its wrong that at&t charges their costumers if they leave. also i think Verizon with the iphone will have lot of buyers. but it wont be as much as efficient as at&t's because AT&T's network has a few technical advantages over Verizon's.AT&T operates on the GSM standard, which allows customers to talk and surf the Web at the same time Expect them to be heavily advertised.also i think the iPhone wont be as promising to Verizon's costumers.

DAMIAN COLON 5 END OF PRIVACY

NOW AND DAYS PRIVACY IS BECOMING LESS AND LESS. WITH THE CLICK OF A BUTTON AND SOMEONES WHOLE LIFE IS ON YOUR COMPUTER.I STRONGLY AGREE WITH THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE EVERY THING YOU DO SOMEONE CAN TRACK. ALSO WITH ALL THESE WEBSITES SUCH AS FACEBOOK AND TWITTER OVER HALF A BILLION PEOPLE ARE ON THESE SOCIAL NETWORKS.IT IS SO EASY TO TRACK PEOPLE DOWN. IN MY OPINION I BELIEVE THERES NO SUCH THING AS PRIVACY ANYMORE.YOU NO LONGER HAVE PRIVACY OVER YOUR CREDIT CARDS ONLINE PURCHASES AND EVEN SOCIAL AND WORK EVENTS.I PREDICT THAT THE NETWORK WILL TAKE OVER AND EVERYTHING OF EVERYTHING WILL BE EXPOSED.THIS IS WHAT I THINK ON THE ARTICLE END OF PRIVACY

The article about the technology myths was very interesting. Some of those myths were things I'd already heard before, but others, I wonder how they came to be. I agree with the author, especially about wondering why I started to some precautions with my computer and restarting it, or actions I see others do.

I also wonder about some of the rumors about Mac, and whether or not people are watching my computer . Some of these myths sound a bit far-fetched, but you never know.

End of Privacy
I feel as though it is up to themselves to have privacy or not. Now that everyone has internet and sites like facebook we don't have any privacy anymore. This is because in sites like facebook anyone can search your name and stalk your profile. Since everyone can search u, creepers can find out where you live which is bad.

I am a Verizon person myself and I really hoped that I wouldn't have to see an AT&T commercial again. Though know I see that they are in not such a bad place.20,000,000 are still staying with AT&T because of iPhone. Also with their long term contracts they will lock people in.

Well the article i read was the myth one.In my opinion it was very interesting and i have never heard of some of these pointers that there saying. Like that you have to wait 18 seconds i never knew that and i never do that when i turn off my computer. I just think that some are true but some of them could not be true they could just be making them up in my opinion. Anyway i think that it was a very interesting article.

End of Privacy?

I think that this article touched various points and pretty much showed that it can benefit you as well as hurt you. But the truth is the choice is yours if you want to say your business and share it publicly then you might as well be ready for the consequences.

The End of Privacy article really caught my attention. It reminded me that with all of these blogging websites out there like Facebook and Twitter, your personal information is just a click away. Many people, including myself, put up many photos and include information such as the school they attend. These websites are very popular and entertaining and are great for connecting with the world, but there are so many dangers. Bad people out there can see your information so easily. I am going to be very careful with what I post on the internet and I suggest everyone else should too.

I think that privacy is for your own self and if other people want to put their privacy in public then thats their problem.

I dont agree with what people or a website is doing, which is checking your browsing history. Things that we are searching should be private and if someone is doing that to your privacy then thats against the law. This is my comment.

Verison iPhone is no doomsday for AT&T

I believe that AT&T doesn't have anything to worry about. AT&T is very succesfull and i doubt that people would switch to the verizon iPhone right away.

Although, AT&T has had some success with touch phones like the Android and so on. I think the iPhone wont fit out the Verizon company.

I think that this was smart for AT&T to lock their customers into long-term contracts. This guaranteed that their customers would not leave AT&T for a better wireless network.Even though switching to Verizon Wireless might be cheaper monthly, it is very expensive to leave AT&T because of AT&T's early termination fee.

AT&T also has some advantages over Verizon like how they operate on the GSM standard, which allows customers to talk and surf the Web at the same time. You will probably be hearing this being advertised a lot because it is one of the few advantages AT&T has over Verizon. I do not know what AT&T will do when all of the 2 year contracts are up but if it is a plan as smart at this one you can expect to see a lot of AT&T.

The End of Privacy is about how people reveal too much information about themselves and their family online. Even though Facebook is a great way to talk to friends, and talk about how you are feeling. There are a lot of people who read all of that information that you put. Even if you think what you put doesn't matter, that doesn't stop people from looking. There are so many dangers, and I hope that people are careful on what they put on the internet.

The article, “The Internet and the End of Privacy,” puts in detail the ups and downs of the internet and sharing your information. I think this article opened the eyes of some people using the websites mentioned like, Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare and Blippy. Foursquare and Blippy is a really stupid website to go on. It automatically uploads your credit card purchases online so everyone can see and they can even comment on your purchase. I think this is crazy, why would you want other people to see what you buy?

Facebook and Twitter are also pretty bad to go on, because, like the article said burglar can tell when you’re not at home from a tweet or status saying, you’re at the mall or at your friend’s house. I think the internet has turned privacy into something that people don’t care about and they don’t realize how dangerous it really is. I know that this article has changed the way I think about the internet and I will watch what I post.
